I'M BACK!

I just had my wisdom teeth taken out.. and who ever tells you that they don't hurt - lie. I figured having over a week off work would allow me to get lots of drawing, but i've been so strung out on percacets (strong painkillers) that I haven't been able to do much of anything. The pain has gotten a little better and i've switched to T3's (weaker painkillers) and am able to get back to work.. on art that is!

I've decided to take art courses through my local college.. as a matter of fact, I'm upgrading my English 12 this semester, and going to try to get into a Fine Arts program for January or next september.. It's a 2 year program. The thing is, I need to submit a portfolio of my work.. at least 20 pieces. That's why I don't think it'll be until September.
Although, I doubt they'll be impressed by drawings of celebrities.. so I should probably drift away from those.
So, from here on end.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE comment/fave the pieces you like most and think I should submit! I would REALLY appreciate your guys' help!!

Which brings me to my next point..
I haven't really drawn anyone that I actually know, just because I'm afraid of masacreing (sp?) it. But i've mustered up the courage! I'm drawing a picture of my niece (well.. one of my best friends daughter's) when she was about 6 months old. Cutest picture ever, and I really hope I can do it justice. So, that's why it's taking so long - because it actually matters, because I'd like to use it in a portfolio, and because babies aren't easy to draw.

Soo.. you should be seeing more stuff like that. Personal pieces. Friends, maybe. Family and I would also like to draw a picture of my 7 week old niece (real niece, actual family).. however, I need to get a super cute picture of her first. Andddd.. maybe a self portrait? *shutters* well see.. the idea of drawing myself seems quite self loathing, but whatever.
